Just like all the illuminators of Kells, except Brother Tang, it is implied that he was killed by the Vikings during the invasion.
Characteristics[]
Much like the rest of the other illuminators, Square does not like the idea of spending so much time on building the wall and so little time creating books.
Relationships[]
With Brendan - Brendan and Square are good friends along with the other monks, Brother Aiden, and Aisling.
With Abbot Cellach - Brendan and the others got in trouble along with Brother Aiden. Square told him that the gate wouldn't hold, but Abbot didn't listen (telling the others that the gate will actually hold).
With Brother Aiden - Since Aiden came to Kells, he was interested in him, but now, he and the other got in trouble with Cellach.
With Aisling - Square and Aisling didn't interact because he never went outside the walls.
With The Vikings - It is said that when the Vikings burst open the chapel door, Square might have died along with the other monks and the people, except Brother Tang.
